Camp Eggs for Breakfast
Breakfast this morning was an old time family favorite that I used to enjoy whenever we were camping. Back in the day, they were made outdoors, over a Coleman stove on the picnic table, but this morning I made them on my nice 3 burner stove inside the warm and comfortable Wild Thing and they still taste just as good as I remember! It’s a great way to have toast and eggs without using a toaster. Making them is easy. Simply cut a hole in the center of a piece of bread, place a generous amount of butter in a hot frying pan, lay the bread in the pan to toast and break an egg over the bread, seating the yolk in the center hole. Flip it over when one side as well toasted and the other side will cook up nicely. Voila! Camp eggs and toast!
