The Day Before…

So today is the day before Wild Thing! I slept late (7:30!) and lounged around reading a book and surfing the net all morning. It felt good to be relaxed and quiet after such a long trip!
Mid-day I took a ride over to Pioneer Building Supply. Jennifer, a star employee of this establishment,  helped me months ago to find and obtain the custom flooring used in Wild Thing! I wanted to stop in and say “Thanks” in person and also ask if they could help me trim my new Anderson Lever so it would fit between the tandem wheels on my new trailer. Everywhere I have been on this trip folks have been willing to help, and Pioneer was no different. Brian (who incidentally turned out to be Jennifer’s husband!) was so accommodating and trimmed my leveler to just the right length. Thanks so much Pioneer Building Supply, Jennifer, and Brian for your assistance and for your cheerful service!!

While at Pioneer Building Supply I looked around a bit and found something that every trailer owning gal needs..a pink leather tool belt! Honestly, could it BE any more perfect! Now if I can just dig my tools out of the truck!

After my successful trip to Pioneer, I took a drive out to see Bridal Veil Falls. The sun was out on the way there, but when I arrived, so did the clouds. I still enjoyed the short hike to the falls through the old growth forest and the falls were lovely! A sweet woman offered to take my pic with the falls in the background.

The landscape around Chilliwack is quite beautiful. Mountains ring this valley and some of them have snow on them already!

So, just one more wake-up in a motel, orientation, importation, and then let the wild rumpus start!
