Settling In and Seeing my Son!

It’s 6:30 and the sun is going down on another amazing day. Here’s my view as I write this…

My first night in the camper was wonderful! It was in the low 50’s last night and I had a chance to use the furnace. It performed like a champ and I slept very comfortably in my cozy loft. I spent a few hours this morning unpacking and had a simple breakfast. You could call it “The First Breakfast” (my Catholic friends will get this joke 😉 then headed for Seattle to see my son Glen.

Again my Angels were looking out for me. Glen works for a Small Ship Cruise line  Uncruise Adventures, and has spent the past few months in Alaska. He came to Seattle just last week and will be here only a few weeks. He will head to Baja in early November to work on a ship there for the winter. He gets 4 hours off duty on the ship a week and his time off coincided with my journey here. How cool is that??!

The drive to Seattle took me across this beautiful causeway and to Fisherman’s Terminal.

Unbeknownst to me today was the Fall Fisherman’s Festival a the terminal. After driving around for about a half hour I finally found a parking space and me met up with Glen. It was awesome seeing him in his element. He gave me a lovely tour of the ship and I was able to meet many of his fellow crew members. They all gave Mama KoKo a glowing review of working with Glen. He looked happy and ready for his next adventure (I wonder where he gets THAT from). We had a meal at Chinook’s and a little time to catch up. What a gift!

Tomorrow it’s back to work! I’m mostly unpacked tonight but still have some settling in to do. Tomorrow I will have time to take some photos of the camper and of this lovely park!

    • It was so good to see Glen. He didn’t get to see Wild Thing…Traffic was too bad and time too short. He’ll be home for a short visit in early Nov and will see her then!
