Windy Day, Photo Processing, Painting Progress

It was another very windy day here at Rusty’s RV Ranch. Dexter and I had time for a little play session this morning before the wind really picked up but then we needed to stay inside as the gusts were enough to rock the trailer back and forth and blow big walls of sand and dirt across the yard. I took advantage of the quiet day to process some photographs. I’ve been practicing with my Nikon camera trying to get some decent bird photos while hand holding my 300mm lens. Although these are not my best compositions, I’m making some progress toward getting better focused pictures while hand-holding my largest len. I just need to keep practicing! There’s also a few pictures of the sunset last night, it was spectacular! I spent more time painting this afternoon. I’m just about done with the face and will start on her clothing and background tomorrow.

  2. Looks like you’ve had a lot of time for artwork! Lucky you! That’s quite the wind! It’s been pretty calm on the Sea of Cortez the last week or so. We’ve been on the beach the last 2 days… maybe even today… working on our tans (and in my case freckles!)
Love all the bird shots! And your painting is impressive!! Love her!
Continue having fun! How long will you be at Rusty’s and where are you headed after?

    • Hey Lucy! Yeah I’m enjoying doing some art here at Rusty’s. I’m glad you’re getting some beach time! I’m here until the 26th, then back at Leasburg State park for 12 days, then a month at De Anza RV park south of Tucson. Steve will be joining me for 2 weeks starting on March 10th!
