While I wait for my photos to download this evening I’m enjoying an excellent new book I picked up at the Arizona Senora Desert Museum today.

Steve and I got up early and drove across town to be there in time for the 10 a.m. raptor free flight where the staff of this exceptional indoor outdoor museum and nature preserve release several species of raptors native to the Sonoran Desert. These exciting birds swoop back and forth across the heads of the spectators providing excellent photographic opportunities. I’m hoping I got at least a few good shots! We also spent time in the hummingbird aviary at the museum enjoying another opportunity for up closr and personal photography. There were two little ladies sitting on their nests and I think I may have some nice shots to share with you soon. Did you know that hummingbird eggs are about the size of a Tic Tac?? Since Steve is been here we have been in “vacation mode” staying quite busy everyday leaving little time or energy in the evening for processing photos and writing the blog. It’s been wonderful having him here and I hate to see the visit end. We still have a couple of days left to enjoy together and then I’ll try to catch you up with photographs!
